Are you employed on duties with multiple unpaid meal breaks? On split shifts? On a rotational roster? Do a quick maths sum of all the hours you are spending at work each day…does your hourly rate really reflect the total hours you are spending away from home?
At Bus Travel NZ we are committed to a single unpaid meal break, with no meal break more than 60 minutes long! We refuse to split any shift and we have never made rotational rosters! 90% of our team are on permanent set shifts!
Driver safety matters – no cash handling, no public bus stops, private and secure car park environment, immediate around the clock supervisor support.
Our Scheduled Services Operation demands high levels of team work between drivers and supervisors at all times. All services have multiple drivers actively working in unison to deliver passengers to both Domestic and International Terminals 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
If you are an experienced bus driver and looking for less stress, you need to join our team! No previous bus driving experience is required – we will teach you everything you need to know. Immediate start is available.
The following MINIMUM qualifications are required:
- Class 2 and P endorsement
- Proof of NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa
The following skills then we would like to hear from you:
- Excellent English and verbal communication skills
- A friendly and positive disposition and excellent customer service skills
- Physically fit and able to assist passengers with luggage, as and when required;
- A keenness to improve your current driving behaviour and learn new skills;
- Ability to follow prescriptive and exacting duty sheets;
- Clean, tidy personal presentation.
